A Big WTF Moment

Alriiight. Buckle up people. This is weird.

I was copying creepy French electronica onto Jochen's iPod (Yes I have to do that almost daily!) and he said he wanted to show me something. Actually he said "I MUST show you something."

Now when a boss says that to me I'm thinking discrimination lawsuit incomming! LOL. He did'nt show me that thank god. I think what he did show me was worse.

He has these creepy videos. I MEAN REALLY CREEPY! And he wants me to find out who sent them to him. WTF? I am an assistant not the FBI. I think I'm going to the director about this. I know things are weird at the institute but this takes the cake.

Spicy Sweet Potato Casserole

Gary wants me to make him a big meal for Canadian Thanksgiving. Hello you are in Texas now!! Can't you wait a month?

No I have to do it twice. I ain't skipping the REAL Thanksgiving! I will probably fake it and buy most of the stuff at Boston Market. Seriously he will never be able to tell the difference!

I am going to make this dish though. Mainly because I want it :)

2 tablespoons canola oil or vegetable oil
2 medium sweet onions, halved and thinly sliced
3 1/2 lbs sweet potatoes, peeled and cut into large cubes
2 cups water
3/4 cup golden raisins
2 tablespoons light brown sugar
1 teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon ground ginger
1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
1/4 teaspoon cayenne pepper

1. In a large skillet, heat the oil over medium-high heat. Add the sliced onions and cook for 3 minutes, stirring occsionally. Add in the sweet potatoes and cook an additional 10 minutes.
2. Add two cups of water to the skillet. Add in the raisins, sugar, salt ginger cinnamon and cayenne. Reduce heat, cover and cook for 12 minutes until the potatoes are tender.
3. Serve hot or at room temperature.
4. Note: You can prepare these up to two days in advance. To reheat, place in a casserole dish and let stand 30 minutes at room temperature. Bake at 325 degrees for 30 minutes.

Greatest Women Radio

I'm totally hooked on this. Check it out at CMT. Jochen hates it. I think I will turn it up a little louder. It's better than his creepy euro stuff. :)

New Boss Update

OK I totally don't have to worry about this one finding my blog and making me take it down. He won't be nearly as bad as the last one. But he is weird. Nice but weird.

He won't let me access any of the research files which totally sucks because I am supposed to put them in the institute's format. I spoke to the director and he just said Jochen's way is the only way. F-in weirdos.

Oh, but he will let me use his computer to do stupid simple tasks for him like register IM accounts or setup email or download f-in songs to his iPod. Yeah that's what I do for a living people. I babysit retarded geniuses.

Battlestar Galactica

Don't make fun of me. Steve loaned me a bunch of episodes on DVD and I am totally hooked!!!!

I am not a nerd. Yes I work at the institute and now watch SciFi but I am not a nerd!!! Really!
