Finally!

I've been totally frikin' buried for days with this new web site for Doc. Thanks to J for helping me do the most technical parts and the logo. The hardest part is getting all the photos and videos and articles in. Yuck.

Now if I can just get Doc focused enough to write some stuff. Heck I'll even paste it in for him if he'll just write it.

If I'm lucky the remaining bits will be done in time for happy hour friday.

Doc had a "cyberdate" with Banana on Friday. I think he's learned more about computers just trying to talk to Banana than he has his whole life.

Oh. and the weather sucks ass right now. It's wet and windy and I should have been asleep 3 hours ago. Grrrrrrrrrrr.

Awesome Weather

Houston's weather sucks bad so when it's nice like this you have to get out. I just can't decide where to go.

I talked to the infamous "Banana" last night for those of you in the know. I also went to bed early instead of hitting Sam's Boat with Mike and the gang. I was just too beat. I've been up since 6 (!!) gettin stuff done so it's cool. i think it's time to wake up some hungover lazyasses and play.

Anybody want to go to The Strand this afternoon?

Poor Ags :(

OMG what a Jerk!

A University of Texas student has reserved the state Capitol's south steps for the date that Texas A&M University fans traditionally meet for midnight yell practice before the rivals' biennial game in Austin.

The move by Christian Deitering, 24, forced Austin-area Aggies to alter their plans by scheduling to meet the night of Nov. 23 on the Capitol's north steps, which don't require a reservation.

Deitering said he was annoyed two years ago when he saw the Aggies practicing their football cheers the night before the game while Texas fans were kept away.

Where Do I Start?

So Doc didn't show up for work Thursday and he didn't call. I guess around 10am I tried to call his house and cell numbers but go nowhere. I then IMed a friend on his to see if he had chatted with her and she was worried too. With all this AV stuff going on I was getting a bit worried. OK so I was freaking out :|

I called the Institute's VP who was at a conference and he told me to go knock on the door but to be careful and call the police if anything seemed out of whack. Luckily he's just down a couple of miles from the med center so I drove over. This is where it all gets weird.

I went to knock on his door and it wasn't locked or even shut fully. Knocking just pushed the door in. The doc was freaking face down in the entranceway. I seriously thought the man was dead. I screamed and probably should have ran away and called the police but it woke him up instead. To make a long story short he had passed out from exhaustion and then just kept on sleeping face down on the carpet!

I called an ambulance (which made him sort of mad) and went with him to the hospital. They scanned him and he is going to be fine. It's going to set us back a few days. And I'm kind of worried about the guy. Next week I'm going to talk to him about his door too. Why was it unlocked given the events surrounding him? Doc is going to get a lecture from his assistant :)

Weirdness

So my 50% turned into 80% and just a couple of days later that tuned into 100%. All of my time is to be dedicated to the new doc's "personal" research interests. Which in this case happens to be investigating some group (person? thing?) called AV.

It's really creepy stuff people. He warned me before I accepted the task but seriously I did not expect this. He's worried about my safety, and his, so we are moving to offices away from the institute. Still, almost all of the contact he had with them was in Europe so I'm not too worried. It's kind of exciting actually.

I've been telling him that we need to go "America's Most Wanted" on them. If you make enough noise somebody will recognize them right? I'm not sure how we're going to do that yet but Dr. Peiper has already put some of the stuff on the Internet so I think he will go for it.

And you thought that last research project was weird!

Oh well, I hope the doc lets me leave early today. I'm meeting Dan 8) at Ninfa's for margaritas!

Same Old Story

Why is my director's response always "Just humor him Sarah"?

Ugh. I need a margarita. I can't believe this place wants me to dedicate 80% of my time to uncovering a prankster named AV that sent my boss some creepy videos. Haven't these people ever heard of cops or private investigators. I'm a freaking assistant!

I wouldn't mind so much but the videos are really really bothering me.

A Big WTF Moment

Alriiight. Buckle up people. This is weird.

I was copying creepy French electronica onto Jochen's iPod (Yes I have to do that almost daily!) and he said he wanted to show me something. Actually he said "I MUST show you something."

Now when a boss says that to me I'm thinking discrimination lawsuit incomming! LOL. He did'nt show me that thank god. I think what he did show me was worse.

He has these creepy videos. I MEAN REALLY CREEPY! And he wants me to find out who sent them to him. WTF? I am an assistant not the FBI. I think I'm going to the director about this. I know things are weird at the institute but this takes the cake.
